Paris Stories and Tips

First, What Not To Do...

Paris Metro "The Scene of The Crime" Photo, Paris, France

I never thought it would happen to me but alas, I was the victim of a very crafty pick pocket on the Paris Metro. This was not my first trip abroad but I let my guard down for just a brief moment and it happened. I was relieved of my wallet along with cash and credit cards, yes, I had them all in one beautiful Christian Dior wallet. Well, no hard feelings, of course I cried and whined for a bit but then I realized...I was in Paris and I was not going to let a major setback ruin my trip. I put my big girl pants on and borrowed some money from a friend and was off to see the most beautiful city in the world. Moral of the story is...no matter how tired you might be when you get there be prepared. Take just a few moments to place your money in a safe place and don't carry everything in one bag. Carry a bag that zips closed and will ride across the front of your body like a messenger bag...never ever use an open top bag...your just begging for trouble.
