Driving Highway 1 from Stinson Beach to Olema

This is a very pretty drive, even in those last rays of daylight after the sun has gone down. You can tune in to 1610 AM and listen to some pre-recorded messages about the area. Most of what you are driving is in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area or Point Reyes National Seashore.

We spotted horses, cows, and several black-tailed deer. The drive is a bit windy in places and is very slow-going, but there's a lot to see along the way. There were a couple of antique stores and the like along the way, and Olema was just begging to be explored instead of driven through.
