I decided to consolidate this entry to just talk briefly about the best places to eat cheap in New Orleans. These are the best places to go to get real Creole food.
Acme Oyster House: They have the best oysters in town. I liked it better than its neighbor, Felix's.
Cafe Du Monde: Lots of powdered sugar and wonderful fried donuts are the only things to be found here. Oh, and coffee with chicory root in it, otherwise known as cafe au lait. There is nothing like going to this 24-hour eatery and having beignets and a cafe au lait. It's a one-of-a-kind experience.
Mother's: I think this is the best place in town for Po'Boys. These Po'Boys are just dripping with fat and goodness. I love it!
Central Grocery: A muffalatta is one of my favorite sandwiches ever created. You can't duplicate these wonderful creations. It's an Italian sandwich packed with meats, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pepperoncini, but the real secret is the olive spread on top. Only the Lord knows how they make it so good.
