Shopping Greenwich Avenue

Greenwich Ave Photo, Greenwich, Connecticut

Greenwich is the place to put down some major cash for stuff. On the post road before Greenwich Avenue begins are Razooks (Lacroix, Gucci, etc.) and Cashmere Inc. Walk down the avenue and you'll walk by Nine West, Tiffany's, Saks, Ann Taylor, Chico's, Great Stuff (a funky boutique), Pier 1, Banana Republic, Restoration Hardware, Gap, Theory, etc. You'll also find antique stores, expensive children's clothing, and specialty clothing boutiques. Be sure to hit some of the side streets for hidden treasures, like Saturnia on Lewis Street.

Midway down is a Starbucks and a beautiful park where you can rest your feet. The latter half of the avenue is mostly restaurants and movie theaters. However, Theory and some other fancy shops are hidden in between. Railroad Avenue runs perpendicular and signals the end of the line. Take a right and you'll end up at the train station.

It's a fun afternoon - if you have the cash to spend, that is!
