Travel by budget airlines may conjure images of mishaps and flight delays in your mind. However, our journey on Airasia was surprisingly hassle-free, and my pals even managed to sleep soundly through the 45-minute ride from KLA to Langkawi airport.
Budget airlines, as the name implies, is frills-free. While no free drinks or food were dished out, the cheap fares more than make up for it.
Seats will be a bit tight for those above 1.7m. The space constraints didn't quite bother us, as we should be consudered petite by even Asian standards.
All in all, I give a big thumbs-up to those who want to fly to different parts of Malaysia on a tight budget. Airasia's the airline man. It'll be a long way, even for Singapore-owned budget carriers, Tiger Airways, and Valuair, to boost the flight itinerary and destinations of Airasia.
