Stopover in Xiamen

Xiamen Photo, China, Asia

Arriving from Manila through China Southern Airlines, my cousins and I were just in time for lunch. As soon as we arrive at the Gaoqi Inetrnational Airport, we were driven by our host to view this newly industrialised city through the windows of his van towards the island where our wonderful restaurant was located. Travelling in China requires at least a minimal knowledge of Mandarin, but luckily my cousin's husband is Chinese and did all the translating from English to Chinese for us. I had a different perception of what Xiamen would be like, but lo and behold I was simply awed by modernity and cleanliness of the city.
