We took the first cascade Amtrak train out to Vancouver from Seattle. The train ride was clean, comfortable and smooth. It felt like first class on a Eurotrain. The view of the coastal line was beautiful. We got into Vancouver a little before noon and walked over the Chinatown. Since we had only a few hours in town, we decided not to trek to far and miss out last train back to Seattle. We walked, shopped and ate. You cannot go wrong budget wise in Chinatown. We even found a little Japanese garden to rest our tired feet. By late afternoon, we managed our way back to the train station. The long ride back was a good resting period after all the walking we did.
