Crib Sheet to Denver Food
Places you have to eat in Denver:
- Carmine's on Penn (the best Italian in town)
- Blue Bonnet (Mexican; not my fave, but everyone else in town swears by it)
- Chop House (steak, meat, and more meat! Great place to see the Avs after a home game.)
- Manhattan Grill (best steak in town - way better than Chop House)
- Wynkoop Brewery (fresh microbrews with smart staff; great pork too)
- Beau Joe's Pizza ("Mountain" Pie is one of a kind; it loses its luster after a few years, but it's damn good)
- Chipotle (This is where it all started, one block from my alma mater on Evans Avenue. They skimp on the meat now and it seems like everything is "extra," but it is still good)
- McCormick's Seafood (Freshest in town for my money. Some people like Jax, but I ate at Jax once and never went back due to "suspect" clams and squid)
- Le Central (Inexpensive, expertly-prepared French food. All Denverites know about this place and it is all it is cracked up to be.
- Zady's Deli in Cherry Creek
