We found the Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City area to be a wonderful recreation area. The area is excellent for camping, mountain biking, picnicking, hiking, and lots of other activities. In winter, there are ski lifts for skiing and lots of hills for sledding. It is truly a beautiful area for whatever activities you want to do. The lake also affords additional activities.
In addition to all of that, the Big Bear Lake & Big Bear City area is just a beautiful and picturesque place to visit. The streets are lined with pretty cabin-type accommodations, and neat wooden carvings of bears and other animals. Imagine all of this, plus clean, fresh air scented with the aroma of pine and other evergreen trees. What a neat location for a "get away from it all" vacation!!
