The Regent Park Apartments are situated in a great location in Sandy Bay, just a 20-minute walk from downtown Hobart. The resort offers one- and two-bedroom apartments, fully self contained with heating and nicely decorated. Most apartments have majestic views overlooking the city centre of Hobart.
If you decide to take a stroll, along the way you will pass Arthur Circus into Battery Point, which is a village of historical colonial cottages with many antique shops and arts and craft galleries. There are many highlights to do in Hobart Salamanca markets run every Saturday where you will find a great range of quality arts and crafts and fine foods and wines. Tasmania has the finest seafood and there are many nice restaurants along the Docks of Salamanca Place.
From the resort, you will find it's only a 30-minute drive to Mt Wellington and only a 20-minute drive to the historical town of Richmond. There are many day tours that you can do from the resort and the staff there are more than happy to arrange these for you. If you decide to tour the state by car you will find that there are many beautiful spots to visit such as Freycinet and Wine Glass Bay, Port Arthur and Tasman Peninsula, Russell Fall’s Wilderness, Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair and I highly recommend doing the Gordon River Cruise which takes about six hours return, stopping on Sarah Island and includes a full buffet lunch. Cruises operate daily from the town of Strahan.
Tasmania is a diverse and beautiful Island with many historical sites to see and stunning wilderness and I would definitely recommend RCI members to experience a holiday in ‘Van Diemens Land’.
