We love staying at this resort. The timeshare options are wonderful and on this weekend it was even a little crazy. We have always stayed during ski season but couldn’t this year so we went a little later in the year than normal. Well the week was great with good weather but they kept calling for snow on the day we where to check out! We didn’t believe it because the weather had been so wonderful all week. We had made new friends from NY at the pool and they were concerned with driving home in the bad weather, of course we reassured them. Saturday it was a delightful 75 degrees and sunny with fluffy clouds that looked like they were made of cotton. Against the spring mountain color it was picturesque. That night they were still calling for snow ~ we still didn’t believe them. We have been on that mountain in the snow! It is not fun! They try as hard as they can to keep it clean but sometimes you just can’t keep up with it. If we had any idea it was going to snow my mother would have made sure we were out of there! She said never again would she get stuck there in the snow! Well when we turned in that night it was cooler and starting to drizzle a little. We knew we were right and not the weatherman. Imagine my surprise when I awoke to my nine year old daughter and her friend scream and doing the SNOW DANCE! Not only had it snowed it was probably the prettiest snow I have ever seen. Those once beautiful spring mountains with fluffy white clouds had turned into beautiful snow castle! Never mind that the kids had gone fishing for one of their first times the day before and we thought we had the story of the trip with that one! We were out done by God’s beautiful snow and wonderful country! I did stop to wonder about my new friends from NY that were trying to escape snow you have to laugh!
