For those loyal to vacationing at the Jersey shore, Brigantine is a quieter and less crowded location. There are not as many restaurants on the island, but enough. Actually, the hotel restaurants were very good and right on the beach--particularly nice in the morning
. It is accessible to many of the Jersey shore hotspots. Atlantic City for glitz, gambling, and nightlife is just over the bridge. Ocean City, NJ, an outstanding family resort with boardwalk, shops, restaurants, and amusements, is 15-20 minutes. Cape May a charming Victorian town approximately 30 minutes away.
Overall the experience was good since we gravitated to areas we like to visit traditionally. The accommodations were just adequate, but not unlike what one might get at Jersey shore hotels (outside of Atlantic City)--very basic, overpriced, and not luxurious.
