The resort consisted of ten buildings arranged in a circle around a group of lovely islands and meandering waterways with lively fountains. Recreational facilities were reached by crossing lovely little bridges across the waterways and were within easy walking distance from our unit. The large pool was lovely, and I particularly enjoyed the waterfall at one end. The amenities were never crowded. The activities director was very helpful and friendly. She helped me adopt a stray kitten that had been making its home in the pool area. We brought home a living souvenir of our trip and named her P.C. for Palm Coast.
We enjoyed fresh shrimp from a local seafood market, ocean swimming at a near-by beach, and day trips to St. Augustine where we took the harbor cruise and checked out lots of antique shops. The warm October weather was a delightful respite from the fall chill in Virginia.
