Edgewater Beach Club is only a block from the public swimming beach and city park with a playground. Across the street is another playground, tennis courts, and a few ball fields. The beach has lifeguards on duty with hourly water breaks of about 10 minutes when everyone must stay out of the water. The beach area has about 40 feet of sand that works great for building sand castles.
There are two restroom/changing rooms and small faucets a foot off the cement to rinse the sand from your feet. The playgrounds have many slides, climbing structures and swings. There are three tennis courts and you can borrow rackets and balls from the city community rec center right next to the tennis courts. They also have table tennis, dirt moving toys, bouncy balls, and assorted other fun games, including board games and cards. There is a mini-golf course and bungee chair ride only two blocks from the resort. If you bring a boat, the public marina is also only two blocks away and I believe you can also rent boats there.
