On site are three beautiful golf courses, an 18-hole putting course, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, racquetball courts, two workout facilities with the latest machines, organized activities and classes for all ages, some of the best tennis clinics we've attended, a good Sunday morning church service at the hotel, an equestrian center, and lovely residential areas and model homes to explore. There are miles of paved walking and biking trails around the resort, plus a very pleasant trail along the river.
The units themselves are the most completely furnished, decorated, and stocked of any timeshares we've stayed in. In addition to the usual things you'd expect to find in a kitchen, we discovered a crockpot, waffle iron, coffee grinder, large pasta pot, bakeware, nice large serving bowls, four-slot wide toaster, ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, and every type and size of glassware imaginable. There was a large gas grill on the deck and a nice selection of utensils to use with it in the kitchen. There was a table and four chairs outside on the deck as well. Also included is a supply of laundry soap for the washer/dryer as well as dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and scouring pads, as well as paper towels.
The nearby towns of Bend, Redmond, and Sisters offer further entertainment, shopping, and dining options. The Gallery Restaurant in Sisters was outstanding with home style cooking, friendly service, and reasonable prices. There are many unique shops in Sisters, too.
The Fred Meyer grocery/department store in Redmond is about five miles from the resort and is a good place to stock up on groceries on the way to the resort.
For flyfishermen, the Deschutes River is right on site, but there are other nearby areas that are great, too. The Crooked River near Prineville and Camp Sherman on the Metolius River are good, too. The Crooked River is supposed to have more fish per mile than any other spot in Oregon.
We enjoyed everything we did at Eagle Crest and look forward to staying there again.
