Cheap Eats

A slice of affordable culinary heaven for budget-conscious backpackers who want a good meal.

1. Noodle Asian Cafe
Shop 1 Renaissance Arcade, Pultney St
Authentic Malaysian food. Their small serve is really SMALL. $4.50/$5.50 for a small/large serve of your choice of three dishes plus rice or noodle.
2. Penang Hawker
Shop 9 Renaissance Arcade, Pultney St
A little bit further into the arcade, and a little bit more expensive, but also a lot tastier (see dining entry).
3. Fresh bread and cheese in Central Market on market days will cost you about $3-5. Just grab some fresh-baked baguettes and wander around for some fresh ingredients to make a yummy sandwich!
