The hike to the lighthouse is spectacular. You can easily spend half a day hiking through the woods up toward the lighthouse where you can absorb the gorgeous view of the ocean and the most easternly point of the Australia mainland. If you feel like an adventure, you can hanglide back down to the beach thus solving your transportation needs. There is a post box and an ice cream vendor at the top of the hike should you need them. Keep your eyes open, dolphins and whales are easily spotted at certain times of the year.
