We stopped to visit old friends at the local orphanage run by a religious order. Cochabamba is well served by many religious organizations from all over the world. One sister has started a small nursery school for the children who await adoption. The children were delightful, friendly and outgoing. They seemed very happy and productive in the little classroom. It was a joy to see so many children safe and well cared for especially after all the street children we had encountered in the market and on our long walks around the city. They always need volunteers!
