Right after Florence & Reedsport, you will come to the busy town of North Bend, then Coos Bay. Next on the road south will be Brandon with its lighthouse and cheese factory.
Soon you will come to Gold Beach and the Roque River. The Roque River offers salmon fishing and steelhead runs. This is the place to get a river guide and do some fishing!
Get the camera ready again as you head south to Brookings and the border. This is one of my favorite portions of the Byway. Even in bad weather, I've seen the sun shine here. Now that you're finished, turn around and head north and look out for the things you missed!
