The drive south to Cape Perpetua is loaded with scenery. Open the car window and hear the ocean roar. Stop at Devel's Churn of a true treat. Once you visit this amazing place, you will understand the name.
Soon you will arrive at Heceta Head Lighthouse. Get the camera ready! Next make a stop at Sea Lion Caves, which has an underground viewpoint for Steller sea lions. You can even see them from the highway. Look for them.
Your next stop is Florence and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
The dunes are spread over almost 50 miles. The town of Reedsport is where you can find most of the recreational activites rentals. Have a picnic here, ride a dunny buggy or sit and watch the sands shift.
