During the Six Flags season, hotel/motel prices in the area are high (at least by my standards). The hotels in Aurora are very pricey and definitely out of the question for us. Even the nearby Days Inn and Super 8 were $90+ per night. These were not in our budget either, so we drove from Pittsburgh for a day trip.
We drove through Streetsboro to get to Six Flags. There are many motels in this town, which is about ten minutes from the park. On a previous trip to the former Sea World, I stayed in Bedford, which wasn’t a bad commute.
In mid-October, I was able to get a room at the Microtel in Streetsboro for $40/night. My husband and I are planning a trip to visit nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Park (made a national park in 2000). Stay tuned for that journal in which I will review the Microtel in Streetsboro.
