This W.W. II battleship saw action in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters of war. It is easy to find out of Mobile--just take the 27 exit off of I-10 to U.S.90.
Much of the ship is open to the public. Inside there are film and audio presentaions of battle scenes the Alabama and her sister ships engaged in. From the stern there is a decent view of a W.W.II U.S. submarine. The site also boasts many tanks, halftracks, and airplanes, including an air pavilion museum.
