A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this town is known for its artisans and marine history. This is a great place to explore galleries and shops, taste some seafood, or just watch the fishermen go about their business on the docks.
Lunenburg also is famous for its shipbuilding history. Canada's most famous tall ship, the "Bluenose" was considered a classic tribute to Lunenburg's shipbuilding expertise. The Bluenose II, a replica, is Nova Scotia's "Ambassador of Goodwill" and can be visited periodically in the home port.
