The port does accommodate semi-large cruise ships so the cattle come ashore periodically. The shopping in town is ok with most souvenir hunters hitting the harborside area. If you want Cuban cigars, head inland about 3 blocks to the department store. You can't beat a corona for about $3 U.S.
