The Isle of Man is located about 22 miles off the northwest coast of England and is a favorite vacation spot for the English vacationer.
Douglas, the capital of this small island, has a long promenade backed with a selection of small hotels and B & B's. The main attractions are the Castle Rushen, Peel Castle, the TT Grand Prix-August/September and National Day-July 5th.
The many beaches are crowded during the summer months but it is a nice place to mingle and meet people.
The birthplace of the Bee Gees, the Isle of Man is a green fertile island which comes alive during the months of April to October. The social, jovial atmosphere compounded with friendly locals, makes for a terrific English style beach vacation.
