If you're looking for some novel, easy birding, don't miss the U.S. Virgin Islands. Summer brings in great seabirds, including Brown Boobys; Brown Noddys; Brown Pelicans; Sandwich Terns; Royal Terns; Least Terns; Roseatte Terns; Tropicbirds; Magnificent Frigatebirds; Laughing Gulls; etc. During the winter months, birders will find a wide assortment of over-wintering songbirds from the north, including a wide variety of warblers. Of course, all the beautiful residents are always there to be seen, including two species of tropical hummingbirds; Brown-throated Parakeets; Smooth-billed Anis; Bananaquits; Grassquits; Red-napped Pigeons; Zenaida Doves; several herons; Gray Kingbirds; Pearly-eyed Thrashers; White-cheeked Pintails; Black-necked Stilts; and American Kestrals.
