I was only able to be in Magog for a few days, not the entire week, so I was a little disappointed to learn that some of the most popular tourist attractions are only open on the weekends in the fall, and then only on a limited schedule. The Lake Mempremagog ferry operates only on weekends, and then only when there will be a crowd. The demonstration village in Drummondville is only open on weekends, as are many of the museums and art galleries. Always call ahead. The store at the Abbaye St Benoit du lac is not open on Sundays, but is open the rest of the week. I was able to get to the village, which is very interesting. Although of course most of the demonstrations are in French, the "characters" will very kindly try to talk to you in English as well. Montreal is an absolute must. It's such a pristine, clean city, and the museums are fabulous, whatever the language.
