To come to the UK and not visit at least 1 castle would be a sin, so we took in several. It's pretty hard not to see castles, given the country’s past. Castles seem to pop up with every bend in the road; many are in the state of ruin thanks in part to Oliver Cromwell and his Roundheads. This was one of Sean’s favorite adventures. We actually saw more then the number of photos shown. My wife Susan fell in love with Dunnotter Castle located on the North Seacoast not far from Stonehaven.
