Quote: Waldort in London Photo - Waldorf Hilton, London, England There are two ways to visit London, England. On a budget with chips & fish, or first class all the way! I must admit, you pay for what you get...

This hotel is surely devine in architecture and in Hospitality Management. Their up-scale service is equall to the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The entrance is mesmerizing and amazingly beautiful with decorations to bring royalty admiration.

Did I mentioned Prince Charles and the Queen stayed here? So why shoulnt you, the price is worth it; you only live once said,,,James Bond!

The rooms are fine crafted with awesome taste, modern and conservative rooms for all alike. You can actually see Big Ben and the London Bridge from afar...grap a cabby and you will find yourself in five minutes across the best Museum in the World!!!

Nonetheless, London has charm, art and a shadow of historical mystery in every corner since the bloodline of Royalty can still be seen, felt and highly appreciated; Long Live The Queen!!!

Be prepared for the "London Fog" and the unsuspecting purse snatchers, they are everywhere and quite effective in their methods of stealing. I weared a Derby Hat to defuse my tourist nature...

Once you visit all the local tourist attractions, you may want to hop on the "Fast Train" to France and take a supersonic ride in the best train in the world which goes under the channel. The way you are cater in the train is also amazing, delightful and quite an experience!

Afterwards, if you have any cash money left, pounds or credit cards, you must visit Harrots in London and spend your last dime there! I wont spoil the surprise!!

By the way, the food in London is not cheered by travelers and they really dont have a cuisine restaurant at all contrary to what they tell you, so get ready to go on a diet for lack of quality food! No wonder they invade other nations, they cant cook, but can surely drink!

Quote: We have been in this hotel for an April week end. we had the usual Hilton quality but, overall the position is excellent, few step fron covent garden and just ten minutes walk from Piccadilly and Trafalgar square. we could walk all the time (day and evening) that is just what we want for a two days vacation in a big city. the restaurant for the breakfast was outstanding (excep for the price because the breakfast was non included and very expensive) but I suggest to have breakfast in some of the place just few steps outside the hotel (fast and cheap). the pool and the sauna inside the hotel was very nice in the late afternoon after a walking day and before dinner.

Quote: From the Front Desk to Room Service to help with gadgetry in the room and Management, the staff was outstanding. From now on, the Waldorf Hilton at Aldwych is my only choice in London. You will not be disappointed.

Quote: In a convenient part of London, close to Covet Gardens, walking distance to train station and London Eye and the Theatre District. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be close to many places but a little removed. Rooms not sound proof and the lifts a little small but all in all a good place to stay.

Quote: Waldorf Photo - Waldorf Hilton, London, England A friend of mine who was celebrating her birthday gave me a call to tell me that her husband had booked a fabulous weekend for two in London. Where would they be staying? In the Waldorf. Nice husband. We met them for breakfast one morning, and I had the chance to ask them about---and take a look into---their fabulous Executive room.

First, the service at the hotel proved to be as phenomenal as its reputation. My friends said their baggage was whisked up to their room almost before they could get there themselves. From the doorman in his derby hat and tails, to the folks at the front desk, the staff here was professional and efficient.

Second, the location of the Waldorf can't be beat if you're interested in all the beautiful bits that tourists usually want to see in London. Covent Garden is--literally--right around the corner. Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace are both just short strolls away. The hotel is next door to theatres, cafes, historic sites... It's in the heart of... well... everything.

Third, the rooms are pretty cool, too. We walked up with our friends to see an uber modern interior. Think flat screen TV, twisted chandelier, bright colors. Then add a bathroom encased in frosted glass and a "butler" for hanging clothes that is shaped like a metal woman! Of course there are all the extra touches you'd want from a luxury hotel…Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries, tons of floor-space, high-speed Internet access, restaurants, an in-door pool... Executive rooms also enjoy access to the Executive lounge for juices, croissants, etc., if guests need a little nibble of something extra before setting out for the day.

In the end, my friends had an absolutely fabulous weekend, and they loved the time they spent at the Waldorf. It was a splurge, to be sure. But some occasions are worth it.

So were there any drawbacks to this hotel?

If you have a car, there is very limited parking and you will need to pre-book it with the valet when you reserve your room. Alternatively, the Covent Garden tube stop is extremely close...or you could get to the hotel via taxi.

When visiting, my husband and I were fortunate to find on-street parking (free on a Sunday) right by the hotel, but this was like winning the slots at Vegas.

Then again...why do you want to drive in London? Leave the car at home and don't worry about it!

My friend thought the bathroom was super-cool...but it also made her blush. If you're staying in a room with a colleague rather than a spouse, you might see a bit more than you bargained for in some of the Executive rooms. Simply ask when you check-in about the set-up. I'm sure some of the bathrooms are more traditional.

Bottom line? This is a lovely hotel that comes with a large price-tag. If you can afford a little indulgence, the Waldorf will fit the bill.
