Quote: Grand Central Hotel's Rooftop Pool Photo - Grand Hotel Central, Barcelona, Spain It's all in the details with luxury, boutique hotels like Grand Hotel Central, and while they excelled at some, others definitely needed a lot of work.

To start, here's what I was impressed by:

* A very comfortable bed.
* A very nice, big bathtub and nice towels.
* Black-out shades that ensured a very deep night of sleep.
* A beautiful lobby staffed by friendly and knowledgeable desk staff.
* A really stunning rooftop infinity pool with an amazing view of Barcelona.
* Very helpful and well-designed complimentary maps.

And here's what I thought could use some work:

* Constant construction noise and doors slamming throughout the day.
* A broken window blind that wouldn't raise and so kept the already dim room even dimmer.
* A broken bathtub stopper.
* A sliding glass door in the bathroom that offered no privacy.

All in all, I would recommend going--it's possible we just got a beat-up room, and the pool shouldn't be missed.
