Quote: We stayed here during a quick overnight trip to the city to see a show.

Our room was missing towels (there was only one bath towel), extra toilet paper, and coffee cups for the in-room coffee maker, but they responded quickly when we called to request them. Beds were a little soft for me. We didn't order any extras, so I can't comment on that, and we avoided the steep parking rate by parking on a nearby street.

Overall, a good stay -- great location, friendly staff, and the room was nice. We also got a great deal by bidding on PL.

Quote: Bed Photo - Hyatt at Fishermans Wharf, San Francisco, California Becoming more and more of a hotel critic over the past few years, I will have to say that my stay at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf is by far one of the best.

The exterior of the Hyatt resembles an old brick building that has been restored and updated beautifully and is located conveniently close to Fisherman's Wharf, fun stores, food and the streetcar turnaround which can take you just about anywhere from there. If you are bringing your own car, ask about the mall parking garage. It's way cheaper then the hotel or valet parking and with the same priviledges. It's located a block and a half away too!

The interior of the hotel has been completely recently renovated and embodies a neutral contemporary style with a slightly modern twist. All rooms are decorated in neutral browns, blues and whites with spacious tiled bathrooms complete with walk-in showers (there are no bathtubs in this hotel...but that didn't bother us). The rooms also boast large flat panel TVs that can also be used for wi-fi connections at an extra charge. We booked a slightly upgraded room with a larger layout and bathroom, it was a corner unit with amazing views of the Coit Tower and the rail car turnaround.

The ammenities at the hotel are good, but leave room for improvement. The outdoor pool and hottub are small and confined to an area surrounded by the hotel itself. It is a nice area, but I've seen better. The remodeled fitness room is very nice with TV tuned treadmills, free weights, water bar and extra towels for after the workout...very impressive. The lobby is extremely nice, but not really a comfortable place to hangout, there is little furniture and it looks more like a showcase rather than a lobby. A small concierge desk area and computer room connect to the lobby for checking out extra activities throughout San Francisco. There is also a Sports Bar connected to the hotel as well which looks like a nice place to go if one doesn't want to go very far to eat (we did not eat there).

Other than the ammenities, this hotel is extremely nice. Great customer service, excellent location, amazing rooms, nice views and all for a good price.

Quote: We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf. The location was perfect and the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. The rooms were clean and updated, but I will say the walls were very thin. Our neighbor's phone rang at 6:00 in the morning and we could hear everything he said...might be a good thing to keep in mind. The shower door was interesting - it was just a pane of glass about half the width of the shower. Most of the time, the floor got wet when we showered. We went to Knuckles a couple of times for drinks/snacks. The service and food was fine for bar food. I would highly recommend the Hollywood Cafe across the street for breakfast - the delicious french toast and fresh fruit was only $8.95 (coffee included)!

Quote: Stayed 4 days in Oct, 2008 and had a very pleasurable experience at this hotel. The entire staff; front desk, bellmen, valets and the restaurant staff ( Knuckles ) made us feel as if they were truly glad we were staying with them. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The location is great for the tourist things and for transporation and we would definitely stay there again.
