Haslam's calls itself "Florida's greatest rainy-day attraction!" But I personally would go there anytime of the week and browse the inventory of over 300,000 books. For 65 years the store has offered new and used books that cater to every interest you can think of.
Also, they even have their own resident ghost. Jack Kerouac lived in St. Petersburg for a while and would go to Haslam's to rearrange his books so they would sell better. Now, even though he's dead, some believe he is up to his old rearranging.
