Quote: Brookgreen Gardens Photo - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Brookgreen Gardens an amazing place to visit. The garden used to be one of the plantation in the earlier days. It is located right on Highway 17 and about half an hour away from where we were staying which was Ocean Blvd. in the south side of Myrtle Beach. It is relatively easy to find for those who are visiting and is new to the area. The first thing one notices as one enter the gardens is the peaceful setting/feeling one gets. It is truly an nature/art lover's paradise. The sculptures comes in different shapes, sizes and are very detailed. The setting of these sculptures are very naturalistic. To see the sculptures in its natural setting is quite astonishing as one will think that these sculptures belong in an art museum or art gallery. The entrance fee was $12.00 per person and one can visit the garden for six consecutive days. Unfortunately we visited the gardens on our last day and was sorry as there were soooo much to see and enjoy. We did not get to see everything and was a bit disappointed we did not found out about the gardens before our last day. There is also a cafe where we had a nice lunch and a glass of wine to finish a beautiful day. Brookgreen Gardens is definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Myrtle Beach. It's a beautiful relaxing and peaceful attraction. Their website is www.brookgreen.com/
