Quote: Hotel View Photo - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina The Camelot is a very large hotel with all rooms facing the ocean. We saw the pictures on the internet and decided to book last minute. The price was $800.00 for 7 nights, one bedroom with 2 double beds. This was during March break. When we got to the hotel, our check in was fast and painless. We had a long drive and welcomed the speedy service. The hotel appeared to be an older hotel. The one bedroom suite was very basic. Included in the rooms are a fridge, stove, microwave and TV. Also included was a small table with four chairs, a sofa and love seat. The sofa and love seat could also use a bit of stem cleaning. There was also a small size bathroom which was clean. The room could use a fresh coat of paint and the carpet could use some steam cleaning as well. There is also a lazy river, which was a bit cold to use in March, a wading pool, a large jacuzzi/hot tub and an indoor pool. They were all located right next to the elevator on the 1st floor. The large pool is located outside the building. There are also laundry facilities. Every day the maid came in and cleaned the room and changed the towels. Every floor has their own parking and we were able to park just outside our door. The view was the best!. We could step outside our balcony and just enjoy the wonderful view. We had coffee every morning on the balcony and watch the sunrise and listen to to waves rolling in everyday. There aren't any restaurant situated in the Camelot hotel, but there are many eating places on Ocean Blvd. where one can eat for reasonable prices. We frequently went to Pappas where happy hour was from 4-7pm every day. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the Camelot.

Quote: We chose this specific hotel for the pool and the lazy river. We were very disappointed to see that the only access to them was from the parking lot, since there are no interior hallways, It was around 30 degrees and we definitely didn't want to walk outside to get there. Probably doesn't make a huge difference in the summer, but it's not the best when it's chilly. Also, not a theme hotel like it says it is. The outside is very nice and gives the impression that the hotel is new. Not the case. Our room was somewhat outdated. \n\nOn the positive side, all rooms are oceanfront and the view is excellent!

Quote: I booked this through inline, was not told that the hotel and property is non smoking. They will not let you smoke off the balconies either. They will chg you and kick you out if your caught smoking. We had to take our coffee to the beach so we could smoke. Also could not drink around the pool areas. Too many rules, the motel was nice but we had to compromise on everything. There is no counter space in the bathroom for brushes and etc, same with the kitchen, coffee maker was on top of the stove. Very hard to cook in with no counters, definetly would not stay there again, the only thing I could say about the parking is we were on the 11 floor and the parking lot is a big circle. It took us 20 min each time to get to our room.

Quote: The staff was wonderful, and good with little kids. It was nice that there was a bar/restaurant next door, but not one on the premises. The pools were very clean, and the kiddie pool was cute. The carpeting in our room could have used a good scrubbing, but other than that everything was neat and clean.

Quote: This was the first time we stayed at the Camelot By The Sea and we were most pleasantly surprised. Upon entering the lobby for check-in, we were greeted by smiles and the staff was very helpful in answering questions we had about the area. We stayed in a 3BR unit and found it to be quite spacious, clean, and gorgeous ocean views. Particularly enjoyed the hot tubs and lazy river after a day of running around Myrtle Beach. Having handicapped family members, the parking garage made it convenient and easy for them to get to our suite. We were able to park right outside of our unit. We had such an enjoyable stay at the Camelot that we have decided that's where we'll stay from now on when visiting Myrtle Beach.
