This was a timeshare swap so I'm not certain of the pricing. We were looking for a short flight, low cost, relaxing vacation. It was truly a short flight from Charlotte airport. We got used to the common question "Are you golfers?" Sadly, no, but we were intent on getting in some miniature golf during our stay. Car rental was a breeze and finding our place was stress free. Just about everything you need in Myrtle Beach is on or off of one road. I had the fortune to book a place right in the midst of Restaurant Row. Every conceivable restaurant was minutes away. A Super Wal-Mart was one mile away and made the trip even more affordable. Our suite was on the 9th floor, the place had plenty of parking.

Our view was of a very large campground next door, another condo tower and of course the beach. We could see all the way up the curve of the beach into NC. Even though we were in the newest tower, our condo looked well used. It was very clean, everything was working, but it looked worn. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was a good size bathroom with sink, tub, and shower and also a separate bathroom, with sink and large mirror, separated by a door. Our balcony was comfortable for two but would have held four, with jockeying. Our view overlooked the four pools, the walkway to the beach. The full moon rose right in front of us making for beautiful reflections on the water. Sunrises were spectacular and we were able to experience the sunset colors, while the actual sunset was on the around the corner.

We made the mistake of signing up for a '15 minute' update of timeshare features. It turned into a 2 hour high pressure sales pitch of which we didn't feel bad turning down. The gift certificate we received for our ordeal paid for a wonderful meal at the Greg Norman Restaurant. We had an unusually warm week, so the locals told us. Maybe because it was a breather week, coming off of spring break but before biker weeks, waitstaff and people in general were in a talkative, unhurried mood.

We really had a nice time and found Myrtle Beach affordable and easy to get around. We don't feel a need to return as we'd rather go to Orlando. It was basically Orlando without Disney or Universal. The funny thing is that for us, Orlando would have been a direct flight, were this had a plane change.
