Also there are many gem studded jewelries made out of silver and 14K, 18K gold are kept for sale. Tea plucking competitions, Rubber tapping competition are some of very special events that the hotel organizes. Besides the main restaurant there is a small pond shaded with tea bushes and perennial fruit trees. This area provides an excellent opportunity to observe a number of bird species in the morning and in the evening for the people who enjoys bird-watching. Sri Lanka Yellow Fronted Barbet, Brown Headed Barbet, Black Hooded Oriole, Indian Robin, Pied Thrush, Red Vented Bulbul are some of the bird species can be observed in the hotel garden.
