This small town on the main highway north from Ouagadougou is famed for a collection of mosques, each one different from the next, all fashioned from mud brick. A holy place, it shows what devotion and determination can do with limited resources.
An imam, son of an imam, who speaks excellent English operates a tiny motel-like place to stay and also gives guided tours of the mosques.
