How fortunate we were to have accommodation at Delta Vancouver Suites. Within 10 minutes, we could walk to Canada Place, where our own and many other cruise ships sail from and where the views of the mountains and Lions Gate Bridge can be seen and the greenery of Stanley Park. Gastown and the wonderful Steam Clock were also just a short walk away, and having visited Vancouver previously, it was only a short time after checking in that we took my parents to see the clock in action.

A little further away was Chinatown, with shops selling Chinese foods and Oriental goods. Dr. Sun Yat Sen's Garden is a much visited and peaceful attraction for tourists. The busy shopping area of Robson Street is only one block away.

Easy to reach by bus is Granville Island, with its popular Sunday Market of fresh fruits, meats, and cheeses, as well as local goods and souvenirs.

Stanley Park is also a short bus ride away (or a long walk)!

Best Things About the Resort:
The convenience of its location and the comfortable rooms. Also, the helpful staff. On our arrival after a 10-hour flight and with a time difference of 8 hours, it was so nice to have such a pleasant greeting. It was explained that for a minimal amount, we could upgrade to a larger room and also have the benefits of the Signature Club, which meant that we had a complimentary breakfast each day, complimentary hors d'hoeuvres each evening and the use of the Signature Lounge throughout our stay, where we could obtain complimentary hot or cold drinks and fresh fruit throughout the day. Needless to say, we took this option both before and after our cruise. Staff at reception helped with any information we required, and on the day we left, our luggage was stored until the time for departure and our taxis were arranged for us. We would certainly stay here again if returning to Vancouver.

Resort Experience:
This is a modern hotel with plenty of amenities, very close to the centre of Vancouver, which could be reached on foot. Also, when boarding the ship for our cruise, we could actually walk to the ship, without needing to wait for the coach.

It has a pleasant reception area with comfortable seating, and our rooms were spacious, with large bathrooms complete with toiletries.

The Signature Lounge had a balcony area, which gave the opportunity to sit outside in the warm sunshine to have our breakfast.
