The beach is the very best thing that is nearby. This is a beachfront property and it couldn't be any better than it is! Stores and shops are very close by, too.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is wonderful. We had stayed at a Holiday Beach property in Pensacola Beach last year and noticed how friendly the staff was and how eager they seemed to make our stay as wonderful as it could be. This resort was just as accommodating. It was delightful!!!

Resort Experience:
Our two-bedroom unit had just been updated prior to our stay. This included new furnishings, new carpet, and new cabinets. We would have liked a lower floor (we were on floor 11) but once we got used to it, the view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico was simply outstanding. The master bedroom had a queen bed and the other bedroom was furnished with two comfortable double beds. The unit was equipped with a washer and dryer and it was well used during our week's stay. The Landmark also has an indoor pool and it was kept at a perfect temperature. The resort exceeded our expectations.

The resort was not really close to activities and shopping, so you will really need a car to fully enjoy the area.

Best Things About the Resort:
Our beachfront accommodation was great. We had a two-bedroom unit on the sixth floor overlooking the ocean. You can't get much better than that. The resort is a little old, so don't expect the beauty of a brand new resort. But most of the resorts in Panama City are older. Our resort only had a small indoor pool; it would be nice to have an outdoor pool, too, but I can see they have no space for one. It's a catch 22: when it rains, it was nice to have an indoor pool, but when it's sunny, it's nice to have an outdoor pool.

Resort Experience:
Rent an umbrella for the week. Enjoy the view of the ocean. Take long walks on beach. The traffic is really bad during the evening hours, so go early. We took a boat ride to see the dolphins and to snorkel. It’s not really worth the money, but my kids tend to get bored and needed something to do. We saw three dolphins for about a minute, but did not get to swim with them as advertised. The putt putt was fun for kids if you like that sort of thing.

The local Wal-Mart is great for shopping! The resort can recommend restaurants. The grocery store is a local place specializing in seafood -- you can cook your seafood here. We had a lobster tail (pricey at $25, but at the same cost as nice meal at local restaurant). We also had shrimp, which was good.

Overall, it’s a nice place to go for those on a budget. If money is no object, Destin has some nicer places to stay with same beach. Again, if you love the ocean and want to relax on the beach, this is a good place. If you want excitement every minute of the day and have the money to do it, good luck to you.

Buddy's Seafood Market is right down the street. I spent most of my time being lazy on the beach. There is a lot of shopping and dining within walking distance, however for most of the attractions you would need a car. Traffic can be nasty at times, so get a map and use back and middle beach roads.

Best Things About the Resort:
We were at the resort in the middle of high school spring break, and after 10pm we didn't hear a thing. It was peaceful and the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the amazing ocean view and being able to walk out on to the beach from the resort.

Resort Experience:
This resort was GREAT! Every unit has an ocean view, and I watched the amazing sunset each night before dinner. As you get off the elevator you step out into the white sands of the Emerald Coast. They offer beach chair rentals and an indoor pool for quite nightly swims.

The resort has a 10pm quiet time rule, which eliminates hearing other guests partying at all hours of the night. They have board games, sports equipment, exercise facilities, roof top patio, spacious units, and a very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this to everyone. I will go back.

The resort is in the west end of Panama City Beach - the more family-oriented area. You can drive to many restaurants and activities.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is located directly on the beach. It is off of the Miracle Strip, congested area. Yet, you are still close to many wonderful restaurants and things to do. All units have balconies that overlook the Gulf of Mexico.

The service is exceptional. The General Manager and Front Desk person were thoughtful in ensuring our unit was clean in order to check out from our rental to our exchange. All personnel at the resort were friendly and helpful.

Resort Experience:
The Landmark Holiday Beach Resort sits on the 27 miles of crystal quartz sand that defines the Gulf of Mexico in Panama City Beach. The resort caters to vacationers who want a fun beach atmosphere with a few activities like daily cookouts and bingo and amenities including an indoor heated pool and spa. The resort consists of 16 stories: the first two floors are one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath townhouses; floors 3 to 15 house two-bedroom, two-bath units, with a few offering a third bedroom. The 16th floor is the clubhouse where activities are held. The indoor pool is in a separate building next to the main building. Parking is in front of the building, with another lot across the street. The resort is on the west end of Panama City Beach.

The units are villas with private balconies, full kitchens with microwave and dishwasher, cable TVs/HBO, and washer/dryer. All sofas have pull-out beds (though very uncomfortable). Master bedrooms contain a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two full-size beds. Bathrooms are very small. Units are not luxurious, but clean.

The onsite beach offers chaise lounge rentals for $9/day or discounts for weekly rentals. The service is worth the price. Chris, the lifeguard, sets up your double chaise every morning. He comes by to ensure your satisfaction. It is a very nice pampering amenity.

Two-bedroom units have a balcony and sliding glass doors off both the living room and master bedroom. Screens allow you to keep the doors open at night while listening to the sounds of the gulf. The unit offers ample space for a family of six. The view is incredible.

One-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom townhouses are only on the first and second floors. You enter into the hallway from the parking lot into the second floor, where the bedroom and full bathroom are located. A spiral staircase takes you down to the lower level, where the living room, kitchen, half bath and laundry area are. The spiral stairs make unpacking difficult - getting suitcases, groceries, etc. up or down.

The view is very nice from the upstairs bedroom. Windows open for fresh air. The windows are floor to ceiling. There is no balcony.

The first floor also provides a view of the beach, though the deck in front obstructs it a bit. The advantage to having a first-floor unit is that you can walk right out to the beach and leave your beach toys at your door. This is great with small children (bathroom trips, lunch, etc.). The disadvantage to having a first-floor unit is that everyone walking past looks in, limiting privacy. Another negative is that there is no screen on the door, which disallowed leaving it open at night.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay here and would return without hesitation.

Quote: Clean, well stocked with ocean view, balcony. When we needed some minor maintenance, the staff was there immediately and took care of the problem. When we needed an extra pot for cooking they were very helpful and produced one right a way. They were more than helpful.

The building is right at the edge of the beach. There are supermarkets close by. The pool is indoors and immediately adjacent to it is a hot tub and sauna. All the facilities were well maintained. There are activities throughout the week if you wish to be involved.
