RENT a car! It is a must. Travel is easy and fun, especially if you drive the coastline. Plan to make stops, lots of them, along the way. And plan to take things easy--the Nova Scotian way! Don't miss Mahone Bay, Blue Rocks, Shelburne, Yarmouth, Anapolis Royal, Wolfville, and Peggy's Cove.${QuickSuggestions} Just get into the car and drive. Join the locals at whatever festival they are attending, like the Shark Fishing Festival in Liverpool. Eat fresh lobster at Stanley's Lobster on the way to Cape Forchu near Yarmouth. Say hi to Ernie for me. Stop at a garage sale or an antique store--there are hundreds. And yes, go see Peggy's Cove, but get there an hour or two before sunset. Take in a whale watch off Brier Island. Go wine tasting at a winery off the Evangeline Trail. Eat fish-and-chips at small restaurants in the small towns. And be prepared to miss Nova Scotia when it's time to go home.${BestWay} A rental car is a must!!! Maps are easily navigated. Roadways are in excellent shape. You can take an interior highway to go fast and boring. Or you can meander the coast line and triple your travel time.
