Away Day to Chandigarh
HELEN001
from Damascus
May 2, 2005
If you're into concrete architecture and rigid geometric street layouts, Chandigarh is for you. If, on the other hand, you're in search of the unusual, strange, and wonderful, head straight for the Rock Garden. There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe it.${QuickSuggestions} If you take the first train from Delhi in the morning, it is possible to "do" Chandigarh in a day and return to Delhi on an evening train.${BestWay} Fixed-price auto-rickshaws are fine for getting around. The city is too large to attempt much on foot.
