We all need some time away from our daily lives to relax and enjoy our free time, and what better place to escape to than the Brass Bed Inn on Columbia Avenue in Cape May? Not only is the home spectacular and the location convenient to the beach, Washington Street Mall, and many restaurants, but the Brass Bed Inn is more than just a B&B, it's an addiction.
From the moment you arrive at the historic home you'll feel a sense of peace. Buddy will greet you at the door and the innkeepers, Jim and Theresa, will become lifelong friends. The house itself is warm and inviting...decorated with gorgeous period pieces, it feels like "home". Mornings you'll awaken to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, and a delicious breakfast specially prepared by Jim himself will await you in the dining room.
After breakfast, whether you decide to gently rock on the porch with a good book or a newspaper, walk 2 short blocks to the beach (beach tags courteously provided, of course), stroll to the outdoor mall to do some shopping, or ride the Brass Bed-provided bicycles around town admiring the Victorian homes, but be sure to return at 4 p.m. ...you'll smell Theresa's deliciously fresh-baked cookies before you even walk up the front porch steps. There's nothing like cookies, lemonade and iced tea on the shaded porch after a full day of activity, especially when Jim and Theresa join you.
A wealth of restaurants await you for dinner and afterwards you can stroll the beach, grab ice cream in the mall, enjoy a cocktail and dance at Cabana's, Martini Beach, The Ugly Mug, or The Boiler Room.....or just return to the house and enjoy a bottle of wine on the porch as the fireflies light up the sky. A weekend (or longer) at the Brass Bed Inn will not only be a memorable one, but it will pull at your heartstrings for years to come!${QuickSuggestions} They have a parking lot. Park your car and leave it there until it's time to leave - if you ever leave!
Cape May is gorgeous year-round. Around Christmas, the town is aglow with lights - take a horse-drawn carriage ride while snuggled with your loved one under a blanket.${BestWay} Walking is the best way. Everything is VERY close by. They have bikes too and that is a great way to ride around the town. Ride down Washington Street to see the old firehouse, the Southern Mansion, and the Pysick House. Ride down Ocean Ave. to both ends. Put a towel in the basket and take a dip in the ocean.
