A visit to the butterfly farm was highlighted by my blue morpho photo. I captured him with his wings spread in a very lucky moment, when I clicked the camera and he opened his wings! These butterflies all had to be killed as the hurricane approached.

We also had a memorable visit to Stingray City – we had the immense turquoise sea all around us for miles, the splashes of the divers, and the lap of the water as the boat rocked as it stood out there. Our boatman held up one of these large creatures for all to see his underbelly, which was so pale compared to the dark shadows of the stingrays on the ocean floor.

The tranquil pace of the island was such a complete contrast to the bustle of life in the States that I felt, even before the time came to leave, I would need to return to this beautiful and quiet island. ${QuickSuggestions} ${BestWay}
