A Day in Sirmione
Colleen
from Oakhurst
September 28, 2000
We stayed in the historic section of Sirmione, on Lake Garda. This part, known as 'old town,' is a very busy place with lots of tourists squeezing through the narrow streets to get to the various shops, eateries, and gelato stands (and this was only early May!). It was a little to crowded for me and had very few historic sights. Overall, other that the view of the lake and the one castle, Sirmione was pretty dull. ${QuickSuggestions} ${BestWay} Walking. Only taxis with special permission are allowed in.
