This is a very comfortable and clean hotel with suites with kitchenettes. We were able to buy some milk and cereal at the very expensive grocery and save some breakfast dollars overall. It has a nice pool and a beautiful setting. You won't be able to swim on the beach here, or nearly anywhere on San Pedro, due to the tall sea grass that grows along the sandy beach. So, whatever hotel you pick should have a pool if you are looking for a place to swim.
There are many easy day trips for snorkeling and even to the mainland from Ambergris Caye:
