They are polite, and give you coupons for a free drink at the Riverhouse lounge. Riverhouse has over 220 rooms, Spa units, Fireplaces, Kitchen. Rates start at $72 for Queen, Mini Suite/Kitchen $82/$92. Spa unit goes for $132nt. They have 3 spas, outside pool, inside pool & exercise rm. All the rooms are extremely large. Cable TV, VCR & rentals, coffee maker with tea. Be sure to request a room with fireplace (extra $$$) gas burner w/firelog daily. I always request a room overlooking the Deschutes River. If a kitchen is not available, most rooms still have microwave and mini frig. They have on site/Premium Steak house "The Crossings" and the Lounge for sandwiches, snacks and cocktails. Live music w/dance floor nightly except Mondays at the Riverhouse lounge. Continental breakfast is located in the lounge. River's Edge Golf Course is open all year round (weather permitting) is conveniently located behind the Riverhouse Resort. Sliding doors with all rooms with decks on second floor. Website is www.riverhouse.com. All local calls are free, so access to aol, att and other internet sites should be NO charge. Expect spends of 36 to 52,000 on net. To get to second floors you have to use the stairway, so if you have lots of luggage, be aware. They will also shuttle you to near-by sites for free. Within walking distance is the Bend/Mall (smalltown stores)and at least 5 restaurants. They offer special winter rates of unlimited golf at $24 day. Don't expect to just drop in and get a room. Bend is crowded during snow season/summer on weekends.
