Biloxi is the home of casinos. Several casinos and hotels line the coast of Biloxi Mississippi (or at least used to). We stopped here before the devastation of Katrina, so I cannot tell you what it looks like now. However, before Katrina hit, you could see miles-upon-miles of casinos and hotels. It really was a sight to see. Being that Biloxi sits right in the Gulf of Mexico, the water is no different looking than Galveston (if you have ever been to Galveston). The water is a little brown, and the waves are pretty minimal. With that in mind, if you do not have access to the ocean or the beach very often, it does not seem to matter. The town and areas that surround Biloxi are nice; it is a very friendly and laid back area. We enjoyed our stop there, and would like to make it back some day and stay a little longer.
Below are some photos from before Katrina.
