The drive to and from Gila Park went through some beautiful areas and had some spectacular sights and sheer drop from some cliffs. The climb up the mountain trail to the cliff dwellings was amazing. The view from the cliff dwellings was unbelievable--we could see far off and straight down. There was also quite a bit of wildlife to be seen. We saw some snow and ice on the mountains during the drive from Silver City.
