Very nice hotel

This was our second stay at Doubletree Times Square. It's a lovely respite from the huge crowds outside, and the rooms are bigger than many apartments that people live in year-round in Manhattan. Clean and quiet, very helpful concierge desk, and the staff was helpful in getting cabs and providing other advice in getting around. The hotel was not full; we arrived a couple of hours before the "official" check-in time of 3 pm and encountered no problem at all. Very close to the Broadway shows and more restaurants than can be visited in a week -- also close to Rockerfeller Center and a short walk or subway trip to the Empire State Building. Gray line tours can be booked from there as well, and they're a lot of fun.
