Aqua Waikiki Wave

Because of the cheap rate I got at the Waikiki Wave I was a little worried that I was not paying $200+ for a room. But after checking in all was well when I saw the room was very nice, recently renovated and surpassed my expectations. Free wifi was great and should be standard in all hotels these days, while the bed was comfy and the room clean. The bathrooms are a little small but I only use the bathroom at showertime so no problem for me. Glimpses of Diamond Head and the water from one side of the hotel, and yes the band playing downstairs 'can' be a little noisy at night but I am a heavy sleeper so again no problem for me. Anyway the band stopped playing at 11pm on the night I was there. Location is also good, ABC convenience store is 50m away and many restaurants all around. Walk to the beach in 5-10 mins. I got a room for under $100 which is amazing value, some other nights (Fri/Sat?) rooms can be as much as $300 in which case you are better off staying on the beach in a 5 star hotel. But for value during my 1 night stay everything was great.
